The Program
MRGS is one of 19 academic-year Governor's schools in the state of Virginia. Students enrolled in this two-year program earn both high school and college credit while participating in coursework with a focus on environmental science during their junior and senior years. Current sophomore are eligible to apply and applications are due in early December. Please visit the MRGS website or contact Ms. Belton for more information.
MRGS offers a two-year 1/2-day program for highly gifted and academically motivated juniors and seniors. Participants take their mathematics, science, and English courses at MRGS and then return to their home school to take other required courses and electives as well as participate in extra-curricular activities.
